INFO:
JR PASS VS SUICA CARD AND WHICH ONE YOU SHOULD GET You guy sent me so many of these questions after my last video so I'm going to try and break it down to the best of my knowledge. A Suica card is a card you load up for transport, you can use this card for all forms of transport and even at vending machines and lockers. It covers all lines and you just pay however much you want to load up into the card. YA JR Pass is a one off pass for tourists that you purchase. It covers 7, 14 or 21 days of unlimited travel. However its only relevant for the JR line and it doesn't cover all forms of transport. You pay for this one off and if you dont use it or you lose the card then you lose all your money pretty much. You can also get the suica card on your apple wallet as an app but the JR pass is a physical ticket. So the next Question is, should I get a JR pass, Suica or both? That really depends on how much you will travel long distance, I did Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo and I had both cards, JR for the major trips and Suica for small local trips. The JR pass is only worth it if you travel through different cities, if you are just travelling to Tokyo to Kyoto for example, I would just pay on the Suica. You can do the online calculator or just use google to calculate which trip is easier - paying individually on Suica or getting a JR Pass. I'll answer more Qs so feel free to leave me a comment! Hope this was helpful.
